The History of Mail Order Brides
The mail order bride system commonly in place today is by no means a new one. It is said that the early settlers of the American continent, the major portion of whom were men, were not able to not find brides in their own country. Therefore, they had to turn to Europe with the expectation of securing a bride. Many years later, during the World War 2, American GIs started writing love letters to women they had never met with the same expectation in mind. Arranged marriages in this fashion have been carried out for thousands of years and they continue to be a common way for people to be married.
In the early 1980s, it was seen that there was an increased tendency for Western men to look beyond their own country to find their soul mate. This was done, as the western men believed that extending their search would speed up the whole process of meeting that special someone, ensuring a perfect match.
Early on, Asian women were predominantly the ones advertising themselves as mail order brides, with Thailand and the Philippines being the main countries involved. The false notion of the typical mail order bride transaction being a Westerner buying an Asian woman stems from these origins.
The fall of the Iron Curtain saw the creation of a completely new resource of mail order brides, looking for the possibilities of meeting a Westerner with a view to settle down. The number of Russian brides that participate in the mail order system has greatly increased in last few years.
Initially, the mail order bride system was paper catalogue-based, which were often printed only once. This was a more limited way for people to interact.
The introduction of the Internet in the 1990s revolutionized the mail order bride system, making introductions faster, easier and reliable. This system was more time-efficient and enjoyable than the earlier one, as well as attracted a substantial number of affluent men.
The future of the mail order bride system seems geared to move online entirely. This system is becoming an increasingly popular mode of meeting people, ideally suited to the time, lifestyles and resultant expectations of both parties.

What is the Right Breast Implant Size For You?
If you had to pick the most talked about cosmetic surgery procedure, it would be breast implant surgery or breast augmentation. This is a procedure that changes both the size and the shape of a woman's breast. But what is the right breast implant size for you?
Breast implant surgery actually dates back to the 1960's but since then it has completely evolved into the surgery of today, which is both safe and affordable. And the demand for breast implant surgery has grown by leaps and bounds.
No longer is this a procedure done just by Hollywood actors. Today's patient can be from any walk of life. It can be a breast cancer survivor, a woman who wants to once again enjoy the firmness of the years before children, or simply a woman who wants bigger breasts purely for the huge boost to self-image. The most critical decision relating to breast implant surgery is knowing what the right breast implant size is.
Breast implant surgery is chosen by many women because it is safe, and it has become much more affordable in the past few years. Woman also like that once they choose the right breast implant size for their body, and the surgery is done, the results are immediate. In most cases in less than one week, you'll be ready to return to your normal activities.
To single out the most important question that you have to answer is "what is the right breast implant size for me." Your plastic surgeon can help you make the right choice with a sizing analysis.
Interestingly, back in the 1960's when breast implant surgery came to the market, men liked a very full bosom on a thin frame. In essence, big breasts on a woman with no body fat. It didn't take long to recognize that the look was very unnatural. In fact, people took to pointing out women that had breast implants.
Fast forward to today and the breast implant sizes now most chosen. Today it's all about looking and feeling natural. No one wants to pack around over-large and weighty implants; most prefer a much more natural look. However, there are still those women who want a more traditional look, which is about bigger breasts.
The right breast implant size really depends on what look it is you want to accomplish. Do you want to look like Pamela Anderson, Gwyneth Paltrow, or perhaps Elizabeth Taylor? Three beautiful women, all with a different level of glamour.
Most plastic surgeons will tell you that the right breast implant size is not more than two cup sizes over your natural breast size. There are several advantages to this. First of all, the people that know you won't find you suddenly looking unnatural. The change is more subtle and thus more easily accepted.
Another common issue is that most men do not actually like really big breast on a small women. Rather than becoming sexier, you actually could become more of a "freak show." Worse yet, you will likely be uncomfortable with yourself and too large of breast can lead to the loss of sexual sensation.
Don't make the mistake of thinking in order to look voluptuous, you need to choose a breast size that is three or more cup sizes bigger. Actually, when you choose the right breast implant size, you'll not only look voluptuous you'll feel it, and that means you'll have a whole lot more sex appeal. The sex appeal from your confidence boost is the most visible result.
When trying to decide what the right breast implant size is for you, remember this - the more natural you look, the more likely it is that other's will assume they are your natural breasts. Remember when you look your best, you feel fantastic!

How to Get a Job in Hollywood
Getting a job in Hollywood takes a certain kind of James Bond like mentality. What this means is, that it takes a keen sense of timing, intelligence, knowledge and experience. So, coming up with ways to get the job is extremely important and the other element is to keep getting the job until you retire. Below is an example that has been written as a story to purposely take you on a journey from one man's perspective of what it took to get a job in Hollywood.
It was a cool and crisp winter morning in Hollywood, California. No rain, but nice. We had a meeting in the production office where I explained that due of the lagging recession, it won't be easy to get professional people to work for free, but it was important they knew we were not receiving any funds and it was for the kids. Simply put.
One thing while making this commercial that caught me by surprise was that NOT everyone cared about helping needy children to build a better future. I presumed everybody would help children no matter what. I was wrong.
First off, to all you movie makers or commercial makers, tell people the truth. Tell them you can pay them or you can't. Tell them what it's for. Tell them your vision, no need to hide it. Be creative. If you are writing and directing be unique and create your own style. Also, think of the costs involved. You will have to stretch the boundaries. Again, all they can tell you is NO.
Great news!! The script was approved by the client and now the fun starts. Who, what, when, where, how and why. Yes, these are questions that will repeat often (even when I sleep) until we're done shooting.
I was taught, if you're not going to pay your movie crew decent, then you better feed them well. So, one of the first things I did was get on the phone to restaurants.
Starbucks coffee a must, restaurants serving breakfast, grocery stores and the important thing about it was...it had to be free. Donated. But, more on this later.
I have been blessed and privileged to have been involved with over 75 different projects ranging from film to TV, I knew the lists of items that needed to be completed.
LEGAL: Location agreements, disclaimers (for talent), deal memo's, ownership, etc.
EXTRA'S CASTING: Since we had quite a few, ranging from 8 to 17 and of all races, we needed someone to handle this.
COSTUME DESIGNER: Important aspect for this commercial. Everyone needed to be dressed in their future desired occupation or dream to be. Doctor, policeman, professional athlete, etc.
LOCATION: Where are we going to shoot that will not require permits, distraction to the public, kids and/or have sound issues. Since we don't have the funds we have to be creative.
1ST ASSISTANT DIRECTOR (AD): I think of them as the captain of the ship. You will need a good AD to move your production along and help you make your day. In our situation, we had two 1ST Assistant Directors because one had to do some pick up shots for a movie and could not make our second day of the shoot.
PRODUCER: Somebody competent and knowledgeable and knows how to keep the crew motivated. If you are directing, you will need someone in this position. Stay away from people who like to shout and create senseless issues.
PRODUCTION COORDINATOR: Without one...good luck. This person should know where to go, how to get it and be well organized. From scheduling to dealing with all departments, with whatever is needed. They must be knowledgeable with each department and know the procedures. This includes union rules.
DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY (D.P): Just don't pick anyone. This can easily get out of hand if you both have different visions or one ego is bigger than the other. A D.P and director should work as a team. Spend as much time with him before the shoot, get to know each other. Chemistry is important. Don't take it for granted.
DIRECTOR: Experience is a plus. Come prepared with what needs to be accomplished and be prepared to change course in a split second. From script, to camera angles. a director needs to be confident and it would be appreciated if he knew what every department does. I say this, due to mutual respect. Every department has a job to do and every department is a part of the process so making a shot-list for department heads is a good way to begin your game plan.
SOUND: No sound, no commercial. Hire someone that owns their own sound equipment that contains wireless mic's. Make sure they have used that equipment before and after every take that's a keeper, make sure sound is good. On a no-budget, or small budget, the last thing you need in your life, is that the sound did not work in one of your scenes.
EDITOR: A good editor can make or break you. Seriously, have an editor that likes you and likes the project, They are creative people. They should be motivated and know how to work as a team. Notice how I have mentioned the word TEAM more than once on this day.
VISUAL EFFECTS: Very expensive if you don't know how to do it yourself. Although more and more companies are getting into it and one can probably find a good deal out there. Yes, we have visual effects on this commercial and if I didn't have a relationship with professionals in this field, it would not have been in the script or I would have allocated more time to shoot the sequence and work out the details in post production with my editor.
CATERING: Not much needs to be said here, just have plenty of good food around to keep everybody happy.

Brad Pitt's Top 5 Movies
Brad Pitt is arguably Hollywood's hunkiest actor, and women have been swooning over his feature films for more than 20 years. It's hard to believe, but Mr. Pitt is actually 45 years old! He's got a body that most men a couple of decades younger couldn't hope to attain if they spent 12 hours a day in the gym. What's more, he has the acting ability to back the good looks up. If Hollywood has an actor that comprises the total package, it's probably Brad Pitt. Here are his top 5 movies, all available on satellite TV.
Fight Club: If you haven't seen Fight Club, stop reading and immediately head to the nearest video rental store. Based on the book by Chuck Palahniuck, Fight Club pairs Pitt with Edward Norton. Fed up with the garbage that his dreary 9 to 5 existence provides, Norton's character is seduced by Pitt, and the two create a league where ordinary men can go and beat the crap out of each other. The story takes off from there, not stopping until fireworks erupt at the end of the movie. We'd tell you more, but the first rule of fight club is, you don't talk about fight club.
The Oceans' Series: Oceans 11, 12, and 13 all follow roughly the same plot. That's why its so amazing that Pitt (and his surrounding cast of star studded actors) have kept the sequels so fresh. They're all must-see films, and definitely recommended in high definition for the action scenes.
Snatch: If you watched this scene with a blindfold on, you'd never believe that Pitt was actually involved. His normal accent is so disguised that it's almost as if he's not on camera. Speaking in a thick Irish (for lack of a more concise name) brogue, Pitt entertains as a gypsy with connections deep in the London underground. Snatch is a winner, for sure.
Troy: If you're a woman, you might as well watch this one with the sound off, because all you'll want to see is Brad Pitt in antique body armor. Hollywood rumors say that Pitt trained in the gym for almost 3 months straight to attain the near perfect body you see on screen. This film is certainly a worthy addition to his catalogue, with great action scenes that will more or less blow up your HDTV. As the famous warrior Achilles, Pitt carries the film well.
Mr. And Mrs. Smith: This one is more of a dud, but it served one important purpose: introducing Pitt to Angelina Jolie, who he later married. As a married couple undercover as spies, the two dance across the screen. Critics largely panned the movie, but you would be wise to at leave give it a shot.
Brad Pitt is an American institution, and you should be sure to check out all of his movies. They play virtually nonstop on satellite TV, so click on your set today to get the party started.

Brokeback Mountain Challenges Culture and Hollywood
The first tremors that Brokeback Mountain was coming out of the celloid closet began in late January 2006, as the film went into major distribution nationwide. After a slow roll-out and strong word of mouth, many people who thought they would never vote for two men kissing as MTV's hottest kiss did witness the idea of two people in love who just happened to be of the same gender.
Those that came away after seeing BBM the first or the fifth time reported that the movie was raw, haunting and ground breaking. The first weeks after many saw the movie, just mentioning Jack Twist or Ennis del Mar brought tears to eyes of those reflecting on their experience with the movie. I had never seen this type of reaction to a film by such a broad range of Americans. Scores moved by the movie, bought the book, by Annie Proulex. Not very often can a movie tell a story as well or better than a book, but many people felt director Ang Lee did and won an Academy Award for BBM. But other BBM nominees were left out on awards night, and homophobia was the mantra of BBM devotees, including thousands who posted daily on David Cullen's BBM forum.
Seldom in recent history has a film touched the emotions of a cross section of people world wide. It takes something very different or special to speak to so many. Love though is universal, and love triumphed in a big way over many other issues raised in BBM. Even movie reviewers got side-tracked by saying the main characters were sheep herders not cowboys, filmgoers rarely talked about such surface distractions that the reviewers debated for weeks. And some reviewers in a delayed response weeks after their original review, either corrected or retracted it. That was really new to American culture, the media rethought themselves.
It is to early to know if there will be a permanent shift in culture and societies perspective on same gender relationships. One thing I know for sure and Health Ledger was right on the money when it was reported that he said:"It was definitely like walking on the moon for the first time, but it wasn't the butt of a mule. I was kissing a human being with a soul." Heath Ledger on kissing Jake Gyllenhaal in Brokeback Mountain. Thank goodness Brokeback Mountain let people rediscover their soul.

Why Are Breast Reduction Pills Better Than Surgery?
If you look closely at many Hollywood stars today, you might notice that some of them were able to reduce their boobs faster than any natural methods available. These star-studded individuals have undergone cosmetics surgery to reduce their size breasts to exude a more natural and leaner look.
We often gape at these individuals in how they flaunt their luxurious new bodies to the masses; but we might want to take note of their courage in using this method of breast reduction considering the risks and problems involved in the procedure.
In most cases, women and men who have undergone surgical breast reduction treatment tell of discomfort during and after the procedure. A slight numbness and pain on the operated areas push these individuals to take in pain killers to help them cope with the problem. Other disadvantages attributed to cosmetics surgery includes infection after the treatment, scarring, and even death if not properly done.
Today, modern men and women are taking a more natural route in addressing their chest problems through the use of herbal breast reduction pills. These individuals testify that these products guarantee a much smaller breast size after continuous treatment in two to three weeks. One advantage of using this method is that you can stop the treatment when you are already happy with the current size of your breast.
Since the natural methods works directly on the fatty cells in your mammary gland, you won't feel any discomfort and risks that comes with its surgical counterpart; not to mention the fact that you can still go through your normal routine while you are under treatment.

Fundamental Strategic Marketing Mistakes to Avoid
This is a pretty tough global economy and it is critical for a company to leverage every bit of their marketing resources. So, if this is the case, why are so many companies shooting themselves in the proverbial foot by breaking some of the most fundamental rules of marketing? It's a very simple question with complex answers - here are some of the pitfalls to avoid:
1) Believing a second rate web site communicates integrity: So many web sites are just plain funky looking (graphics, text, menus, etc.) - nice professional term, but it's descriptive of some of the dreck that passes for web site design. A company should not forget that perception is reality on the web and people aren't going to do business with a company that can't field a decent web site - end of story!
2) Deploying a marketing strategy that's all over the map: Is Yahoo a Search Engine, a Portal or a Hollywood Media company? They are the classic 3D hologram advertisement for a company that can't figure out what it wants to be when it grows up. A company must pick a marketing strategy and then stay the course - changing direction every time the wind shifts is not a good business strategy and creates more motion than action.
3) Forgetting real brand development: Branding became the ".com" rallying cry for every newby wet behind the ears with an Internet dream to become a billionaire by selling dog food on the web (I'll leave the sock puppet out of this) - we all know this didn't work. But that does not mean a company should ignore brand development - it's important to remember that a good brand is built one marketing process at a time; everything that a company publishes, develops or communicate is part of the brand building process, which in turn defines the company's market position.
4) Ignoring distribution channels by selling direct via an ecommerce web site: A company should not build and launch an ecommerce site and start selling direct to customers and forget about a distribution channel. It's imperative to give the customer the choice to buy direct from your company or locate a distribution channel partner via a look up capability on the site. And, if you really want to win the hearts and mind of a channel never sell below retail (SRP) - and afford the channel the opportunity to discount your product so they can compete effectively with you.
5) Making competitive analysis a low priority: Too many companies forget about their competitors after the business plan has been written. They don't take the time to review them on a periodic basis and try and figure out how to deliver goods and services differently, which in turn drives competitive advantage and a long-term sustainable business model.
6) Poorly thought out Investor Relations press release: Do companies actually think investors are just plain stupid and don't really read an IR (Investor Relations) directed Press Release carefully? Investors are typically very bottom line oriented - they want to know about revenue growth and real strategic partnership developments that help the company grow and not much else. Just throwing fluff out in the market and hoping this will drive investors to invest is just plain shortsighted stupidity.
7) Thinking any/all consultants know your business better than you: Reporters and consultants (including this one) have driven just as many companies into the ground with bad advice as much as they have helped them - companies must realize a consultant is typically not down in the trenches and they can make some bad calls - it's important to filter their advice.
8) Letting the inmates run the asylum - customers should help a company refine its product marketing strategy by working as partners. If engineering tells marketing "the customer doesn't really know what they want but we do" the red lights should start flashing danger - the company may be in serious peril and at the very least need new focus and direction for product marketing.

The Western Belt Buckle
The cowboy belt buckle did not originate until the turn of the 20th Century. Though the thought of collecting antique belt buckles of the famous cowboys who rode the ranges of the Wild West is nice, the reality of it was the cowboys usually wore suspenders or buckles that were derived from military friction buckles. It was Hollywood and the Western Movies that gave rise to what is known today as the Western Belt Buckle.
From the first half of the century there were famouse names in the manufacture of belt buckles. These include: Don Ellis, Michael Srour, Al Pecetti, William Nelson, John McCabe, Les Garica, Edward H. Bohlin, and Robert Schaezlein. Today there are many producers of custom buckle makers but these pioneers of the industry are the ones that are most prized for collections.
Some of the most popular belt buckle styles include the patriotic flag belt buckle; the American eagle is another common symbol on belt buckles and a very good seller for manufactures. The eagle design varies greatly, sometimes depicting the eagle in flight, or just the eagle's head. Another popular design is the cowboy riding the bronco, and the Confederate Flag.
Smaller belt buckles of less than 3 ½" inches across are popular with women where men usually prefer belt buckles that are larger than 3 ½ inches across. These are typically what people think of when they hear "Cowboy Buckles". Many of these are rodeo or stock show trophy buckles.
The motifs, designs, and patterns on the larger belt buckles considerably diverse. Some are simply for ornamentation, for example it may feature a pair of gold cowboy boots, a horseshoe design, a horse's head, and the list goes on.
Smaller buckles often have more elaborate pictures to compliment their size. Horse cameos are predominantly popular, as are illustrations of the western lifestyle, such as a miniature cowboy on a bucking bronco.
The western belt buckle is both rustic and stylish and a good bet for any collector.
